As some of you may be aware Google has recently announced major changes within the Google Apps / Google Workspace platform.

In short – they, (Google), is pressuring us to pay almost 11USD per @vinet email account per month and at the current rate that would be almost R2000 per email account per annum. We have tried negotiations and were unsuccessful in lowering the price to keep it feasible.
This will, unfortunately, have a direct cost impact on the service delivery of all clients and thus we have decided it will not be feasible to go through with this option. After a few weeks of planning and testing options, we have found a workable solution for all users affected.
The details:
Vinet Internet Solutions will provide free @vinet.co.za mailboxes (maximum 2 per customer) with a storage space of 5GB per account free of charge as long as you remain an active client with Vinet. If you have decided to move to a different ISP, you will still have the option to retain your email address at R300 per annum per email address.
Add-on mailbox space options as below:

Our support team will need to transfer all your emails to our dedicated cloud hosting platform within the next 2 to 3 weeks and contact you to arrange the setup of your accounts on all your devices.
1 – We will need to reset your password to enable the secure transfer process.
2 – Some server settings need to change on all your devices accessing emails.
3 – If you use other Google services with your @vinet email account we would need to discuss a bit more detail in person and assist with options – please contact [email protected] to book a meeting with one of our team members.
If you have your own domain (e.g. [email protected]),
your accounts will form part of your hosting service as purchased.
